On your feet all shift

Built for the hours you actually work

You haven't sat down since clock-in. Under you: a cushioned, stable heel that keeps its structure all day, a wide toe box so your toes can spread as your feet swell, and breathable knit that adapts to your foot without pressure.

Why it works

Again Shift, part by part

  1. Concrete never gives. Your heel does.

Hour ten, and your heels are pounding concrete that doesn't give an inch. The Shift's cushioned heel takes the edge off every step. And it keeps its structure all day.

  2. Feet swell. Narrow shoes don't care.

By the end of the shift your feet are swollen, spilling out of your comfiest shoes, toes jammed together. A wide toe box gives your toes room to spread as your feet swell.

  3. Again Shift: the knit upper, close up

    "Good support, but too firm."

You've owned that shoe. The one with no give. The Shift's upper is breathable knit: light, flexible, and it adapts to your foot without pressure.

  4. Again Shift: the tread of the outsole

You haven't sat down since clock-in.

You pivot, rush, turn and walk the same hallway all day. Under you: a grippy rubber outsole with deep tread, from heel to toe.

  5. Again Shift: worn on a hospital corridor floor

    Made for shifts, not runs.

You bought the running shoes everyone swears by. Your feet still hurt. The Shift is built for 12-hour shifts, and built to hold its structure while you stand and move.

A pair for the life I have

That everyday use was the reason I chose them. A family visit can be a full day, even when we haven't planned anything big. The Shift knit was more my style than a stiff-looking upper. I still took my time checking the fit.

A choice I made for myself

Shift appealed to me because I wanted some shape under my foot as well as cushioning. Those are two different things on my shopping list now. I still like choosing my own things. Shoes included. I felt better having a specific reason for the choice. I chose around my routine and checked the fit for myself.

Keeping my own pace

I made the choice around my own habits. My usual walk is part of my day. I like having a routine that gets me moving. With Shift, the toe area was the detail I kept coming back to. That's where I notice a bad fit first.

Practical can still feel like me

I chose a look that felt like me. Wanting a practical shoe doesn't mean I've stopped caring what I put on. I chose Shift because standing is a big part of my day. Buying around that made more sense to me than shopping as if I were training for a race.

I took my time with the fit

I actually turned my Shift pair over to look at the tread. I wanted to see the shoe itself, not just the side-view photo. The pair I like at breakfast isn't always the pair I want on by dinner. I took my time deciding whether the fit worked for me. I chose around my routine and checked the fit for myself.

Fit came before the color

I wouldn't choose by length alone again. I used to blame my feet whenever a shoe felt wrong. Now I pay closer attention to the shape. The knit upper was a big part of why Shift made my shortlist. I like a shoe that doesn't look or feel stiff across the top.

Practical mattered more than hype

For me, value is having a clear reason to reach for a pair. I don't mind paying for shoes I wear. It's the ones that sit there that bother me. I like that Shift doesn't feel like a big heavy thing on my foot. Simple things like that matter in a busy day.

Bought with a clear idea in mind

I noticed the wider front on Shift before anything else. I'm much more interested in that shape than a shoe that looks narrow from above. A shoe can feel nice for thirty seconds and still not be the one I reach for. I've learned to choose around my own preferences. I chose around my routine and checked the fit for myself.
